As the apotheosis of the festival, two award shows are organised annually: the Jamies – the Flemish online video awards – and the Ensors – the Flemish film and television awards.

The Flemish film and television awards
In 2010, the Ostend Film Festival took the initiative to organise an annual celebration that puts remarkable film achievements in the spotlight. The Ensors correspond with the DNA of the Ostend Film Festival, which always gives ample attention to home-grown talent. 'The Ensors' (formerly ‘the Flemish Film Prizes’) and its annual gala in the Kursaal Ostend, as the glamorous end of the festival, quickly became a fixture in the Flemish film world. In addition to the film prizes, the Ensors also award prizes for the television industry.

The Flemish online video awards
Flanders is bursting with talent. Wonderful work is being made for film and television, but a lot of great content is also appearing online. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Stories, Reels, Twitch (and sporadically on Facebook): Flemish creatives are gaining fame by making online videos on different platforms. Since 2021, Ostend Film Festival and the creative agency HURAE honor the best online video makers with The Jamies, a nod to 'James' Ensor.
Everyone can nominate their favorite online video maker. After the applications close, the professional jury will choose ten nominees per category. Then both the jury and the general public will vote on the nominees to determine the winner per category.
Lifetime Achievement Award
Every year, Ostend Film Festival recognizes an established Flemish name in the film- or television industry with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
